“Dad, Over the years I never felt that I was good enough for you, it seemed like everyone was…”

Dad, Over the years I never felt that I was good enough for you, it seemed like everyone was more important. All I ever wanted was your love and for the longest time I tried to get your attention. But finally gave up when you choose not to come to my college graduations. I knew then I could never prove I was good enough for you. Now as I see you in this bed, nowhere near the man remember from when cl was young, you looked so frail, so ready to give up. When you looked up at me I could see the love you have for me and then you said these words I longed to hear, "I'm sorry." I knew then I had to let go, to forgive. I grabbed your hand told you it was ok, that I love you, and I'd be alright. When I left that room I knew it would be the last time I would see you, but it was ok. I knew that you loved me and that I was your little girl. So go in peace dad, and Know I forgive you. Your Little Girl Always
